Jewelia Yao

Jewelia is a PhD student in the Neuroscience area of the Department of Psychology. She is interested in the development of brain function and structure and how it relates to education. She earned her BA in Psychology with a minor in Early Development from UC Berkeley in 2020, working with Kevin Weiner and Silvia Bunge. Before joining the VPNL in Fall 2022, she worked with Jesse Gomez in the Brain Development Lab at Princeton University. She is also a part of the Yeatman Lab at Stanford.
